It's been a while I was doing art stuffs mostly doing it digitally, until now I still do it, it's a part of my life. I have 4 years experience working as an illustrator for a corporate company. After that, I completed many projects as a freelance monkey. My clients are mostly from freelance platforms like fiverr, upwork and guru. Aside from that, I also have direct clients. My usual projects includes fantasy illustration, character design, comic illustrations, book covers and cartooning.
There are many things about art that I like and fantasy art is one of them. There are amazing artist that do fantasy illustration mostly for game companies that I follow because they inspire me. Along the way, I keep on practicing inorder to learn. I also have projects with the fantasy genre for books covers and card games.
I also do character design and concepts for my clients that requires it. Usually, This includes mostly full figure concepts, from sketch to finish with color. I like doing this compare to other art projects because it doen't take longer time to finish and is a little bit easier to do. There are lot of references for character design which can really help make the work more faster. If the character details is not complex, it can be done in 2 days.
Aside from fantasy art and character design, I also do other projects. Projects like children's book illustration, cartooning, vector illustration, clip arts and other design projects that includes drawing digitally. It's also a good way to have different types of work so that you can explore and if it's not complicated, you can have proper working hours and rest.
I participated some once in a year event called "Inktober". It's an event for the month of October every year which was started by Jake Parker. For the whole month of October, artists who do this will need to do daily sketches, digitally and traditionally. Many artists do it and I realized I should also do it for fun. I also think, it's a good way to improve your skills. I have some pens and pencils which I used together with my sketch pad.
